    not to my knowledge.

  4. it will make for a neater looking cut on your lawn,, as the terrain varies the mower may cut deeper or less deep in some spots,, so some people mow in different directions ,,, but no it does not help it grow,, cutting at the right depth will help though

  5. Cutting it helps it grow, but cutting in different directions does not - but it does stop it growing in one particular direction, so looking a bit strange.

If poss, cut it in a different direction from the last time, including diagonally, you’ll find it looks much healthier.

Remember too, the last fine cut of the year, leave the cuttings to mulch down, it’s food for the grass.

  6. No. Myth. Fertilizer will help it grow.

  7. No, it just helps you avoid having cutting lines in your yard from cutting the same path every time.

I asked this question at home depot last month, the expert said it really dont matter, it will grow no matter what way you mow it. your choice.

  9. yes the way you cut your lawn does matter. 1 st you should cut no more then 1/3 of the length off at a time. the best is to actually cut it twice once one way once the other. make sure your blade is sharp to avoid tearing the blade rather then cutting it. the reasons are one to keep your grass from leaning one way or the other. to avoid traffic lines in your grass. really important if you are using a tractor or heavy equipment to cut the grass. it is also a good idea to make a pear of spike shoes to wear while cutting. email me if you want directions on them. they help aerate the lawn.

grass is just like your hair it grows from the roots not the ends so it doesn’t matter how you cut it\, it will grow just the same

Yes. Always cut my own grass, watched Paul James for years, talked to plenty of yard guys and everyone says the same thing, vary how and what direction you cut your grass. Cutting all the time the same way makes the grass grow towards one direction.

  12. depends on which way it was planted. was the green side up??

No thats not true it’s a myth. Fertilizer & lawn feeders will help it grow. Take my advise as I have had many of years experience in a Nursery.
